Latin studies

I've been reading and practicing from Collar and Daniell's First Year Latin since the start of this year. After the first year grammar book is complete, I plan to finish up the graduated reader LLPSI Volume I and then hopefully complete my studies with a reading of the four gospels from the Latin Vulgate.

CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certified

This morning I passed the Security+ certification test. I've also passed the Network+ test too. Having two entry level IT certs completed gives me the confidence to pursue a professional level cert. I plan on studying for VMware's. Overall, I would recommend the CompTIA certs for new folks in IT, and if you're on desktop team then A+ would be great, but I never tested for A+ cert.

setting up an IT closet, 7/22
I recently had the opportunity to help set up an IT closet. I installed switches, power supplies, and plugged all the patch cables in. This job solidified my knowledge of how cables flow through the walls, terminate in the IT closet, and plug into switches for configuring network traffic flow.
